This is Ladybugs page. Ladybug is a very special horse, if it were not for her, Ladybug Equestrian Coaching Services would have never been.
Ladybug is a 30 year old, 15hh, quarter horse, mare. Ladybug’s present job is watch dog, lawnmower and audience for the riding lessons. She spends her time sleeping and eating and pooping. She has a great retired life. But don’t, for one second, think that she hasn’t earned it.
I, Olivia-Daisy Collins, bought Ladybug when I was 12 years old. I saved all my money ($1,600) for three years, to buy her. Ladybug was my first horse and I was in love.
Reflecting back, Ladybug was not the most athletic horse and she had questionable conformation. She was lazy and not to interested in jumping and stuff that the typical 13 year old girl wants to do. Some times I felt like she was holding me back, but she gave me so much confidence. She was the ideal first horse.
Ladybug NEVER bucked, nipped, reared or kicked. She tried with all her might to jump whatever I put in front of her although she had never been formally trained to jump. Ladybug and I did the local show circuit and won many trophies and ribbons. To this day everyone still asks how Ladybug is doing when I’m out at a horse show.
If you come to Ladybug Stables, you will meet Ladybug. She has free roam of the property so she might even escort you from your car to the barn. (Her other job is valet!)
Ladybug is the barns’ official treat disposal. If you have a treat, she will take care of it for you.
The only real job that Ladybug has is “demonstration horse” for LECS weekly “Theory lessons”. Occasional, she will also give a pony ride.
